Our history
The origin of Palafox
Everything began in 1952 with the opening of Hotel Goya in Zaragoza. That first hotel marked the beginning of a way of understanding hospitality that, over time, would give rise to Palafox Hoteles. An Aragonese group, part of the company Zaragoza Urbana, which has grown true to its roots and a clear idea of excellence: approachable, well-cared-for, and with its own identity.
Today, Palafox Hoteles has six hotels in Zaragoza and Cádiz. Buildings with soul that engage with the city to create exclusive experiences. Each hotel is unique, an invitation to create stories worth telling, but all with a clear respect for the environment and honest hospitality.

Architecture and Design
Unique spaces with a designer's touch
The footprint of interior designer Pascua Ortega, awarded the Gold Medal for Fine Arts, defines some of the group’s most emblematic hotels. Creator of elegant and sophisticated environments, with antique pieces that coexist harmoniously with contemporary lines.
In parallel, the architecture of Hotel Hiberus bears the signature of Elías Torres and José Antonio Martínez Lapeña, National Architecture Award winners. A minimalist and luminous design that, combined with the Nordic style of Arne Jacobsen, engages with the surrounding environment.
Sustainability
Commitment to the Environment
Ecology is for us a way of looking at the world and conducting our activities sustainably. A clear example of this is the Hotel Playa Victoria, designed from its conception to operate entirely with electric energy and thermal utilization of the underground. Thanks to an innovative heat pump system that extracts underground seawater, we achieve approximately 75% of the energy needed for air conditioning and hot water without relying on fossil fuels, without emissions, and without noise or visual pollution.
Our ecological sensitivity extends to every corner: we implement thermostatic faucets and flow reducers that save 30% of water, solar control glass to optimize energy, and we use noble and durable materials such as stainless steel, natural wood, and oyster shell stone sourced entirely from demolitions, thus ensuring coastal protection and preventing aesthetic degradation.
