Hotel Reina Petronila is not just a place to stay. It is a meeting point between history and the present, between architecture and experience. A hotel that is part of Zaragoza and, at the same time, offers a different way to experience it.
A name that transcends time
Hotel Reina Petronila does not begin with a building, but with a story. The story of Petronila of Aragon, a queen who, without seeking prominence, changed the course of the peninsula. Born in 1136, she inherited the crown from birth and knew when to relinquish it at the right moment, thus consolidating the Crown of Aragon and leaving a silent yet decisive mark.
That idea of legacy, intelligence, balance, and vision is what gives meaning to the hotel today. Not as a memory of the past, but as an inspiration that permeates the details: in the names of its meeting rooms, in small nods that connect history and present, in an atmosphere that does not need to impose itself to be noticed.
Inaugurated in 2010 as one of the five-star reference hotels in Zaragoza, the hotel captures that spirit and translates it into a contemporary way of understanding hospitality.
Architecture that defines an experience
To talk about Hotel Reina Petronila is to talk about Rafael Moneo. Its architecture does not seek gratuitous prominence, but rather creates spaces that are naturally inhabited. Integrated into the Aragonia complex, the building is part of a new way of living the city: open, dynamic, connected.
